awsome man this is sweet music for me uve injected new life into that prentious progressive trance stuff.

man w/e u doing keep on doing it this is good shit

sasha has never sounded this cool

Rave4Yourself responds:

Thanks man, you spelled pretentious wrong, yeah, i think thats it. :P

prog. trance? yeah i guess. lol, sasha, thanks :D

groovey uncentered unpolished very very cool

I'm going to ignore your inclusion of dnb because this is not dnb nor is it anything in the jungle circle. This is a very cool soft rock/ pop tune though and i would gladely listen to this any day. It's not very often u hear live stuff like this and the unpolished feel of it makes it feel so groovey

i need to spin this im definetely feelin the beat

lukedraik responds:

Yeah, I thought about 'pop', but I didn't since this was made with drums and a bass, but you're right, I'll change it! And yeah, this was made without any editing; it's the raw version.

Glad you like it! =]

confusing, erratic, trying to hard

I'm getting a techstep/darkstep feel it's a little slow though so i guess you could throw it in breakbeat area more than jungle.

I'm not sure how to classify this its close enough to be a dnb/jungle song but all the added elements and the 4/4 beat change later on in the song forcefully pull it into other genre's as if this song doesnt know what it wants to be. Sometimes it's wild and erratic (like idm) sometimes its hard and driving (like some techno) sometimes its trippy(like trance) sometimes it's slower and more groovey(like breakbeat)

not a bad song but definetely is way too all over the place.

ECTheSlaughter responds:

I had to kinda say that after finishing it, it was messed up a bit. I put it as DNB due to drumbeat style.

Dammit, I need to start thinking those genres and listen them carefully so I know what kinda song I am about to make.....but thanks for the notice.

this is not techno either

if u gave the arp more of a delay or a reverb or something that made it more psychadelic or euphoric this could count as epicy trance or a dance like trance.

but this is still so far away from techno man

u should read up some stuff in ishkurs guide to electronic music
http://www.di.fm/edmguide/edmguide.html

This is not techno

and its not fast enough to be rave and its too psychadelic to be dance.

it's more like really slow happy hardcore (or happy rave) with some psy riffs thrown in.

but its a good song nontheless

check my shit man

this song is not really heavy metal as it is industrial metal.

rate some of my stuff if u want

cfx responds:

Truth, there.

Let me just learn German and make Tom add 'Industrial Metal' to the genre list! :)

I didn't quite think Industrial by itself was quite the word, but that's just nit-picking.

Very glad you enjoyed. I intend to release other songs of this calibre from here-on-out.

Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for the review!

everything ud expect in an ambient song

I love it

it's something you would hear in the background of any good video game

I get the sense of a desolate landscape or the destruction of a battle that had just took place

cfx responds:

My usual critics claim I do my best work when I 'hit the Ambient button'.

Plenty more where this came from -- as soon as I get it remixed, remastered, and posted to Newgrounds!

I do my best to evoke emotion, especially when I don't have a driving beat to spur on the song's progression.

After all, there are musical rules of thumb, and then there's actually writing the music which turns into the final product.

I find that rule-abiding tunes don't fare nearly as well as those infused with a bit of art and soul...

Thanks for the review, glad you enjoyed. :)

this song sounds like what might happen if you tried to run blake stone on a commodore 64 only faster and with better speakers

LJCoffee responds:
